Even if you take excellent care of your teeth and gums at home, you still need to see a dentist regularly. On average, seeing a dentist twice a year works well for most people. Many dental problems don’t become visible or cause pain until they are in more advanced stages so a comprehensive exam will help us diagnose problems at an early manageable stage.

At your initial visit at ALL FAMILY DENTISTRY, you can usually expect:

• A Thorough Cleaning – the hygienist will scrape along and slightly below the gum line to remove plaque or tartar build-up that leads to gum disease, cavities, and bad breath. At the end of the visit, she will polish and floss your teeth.
• A Comprehensive Examination – Dr. Aboud will perform a thorough examination of your teeth, gums, and mouth, looking for signs of disease or other problems.
• X-Rays -(when indicated) to help diagnose problems otherwise unnoticed, such as cavities in between your teeth, impacted or abscessed teeth, cysts or tumors otherwise not visible.
